Nelson Administrative Process
All reviews are conducted online using the Performance Management Development Program (PMDP) system.
Probationary staff receive 30-day, mid-point, and summary evaluations. The exact timing for these reviews can be calculated using the length of the probationary period outlined in the employee's offer letter.
After the probationary period, staff are reviewed on a fiscal year basis, July 1-June 30. Supervisors should conduct end-of-year summary evaluations in July or August, and finalize all documentation in the PMDP system by July 31. Mid-year evaluations should happen in December or January and be finalized in the PMDP system by January 31. Informal conversations can happen at any time.
Supervisors must complete all reviews for all of their employees to be eligible for a raise or promotion.
