Russell Network and Server Outage Planned for 05/12/2021

Reminder: if you are having network troubles on a network cable connected device in Russell Labs please reboot twice.
When: Wednesday, May 12 at 9am CST.
Covers:
- anyone connected to the Russell Labs network (e.g. mapped network drive) over a WIRED connection in their office
- anyone connected to the Russell Labs network over VPN – wireless or off campus
Group #1 will need to reboot their computers twice to reconnect.
Group #2 will NOT need to reboot their computers to reconnect, but Windows users *may* see a message like this:
If you get this message:
- In the first box, edit the text and replace just jdoe with your Russell Labs VPN username.
- Click in the second box and enter your Russell Labs VPN network password.
- Click the checkbox “Remember my credentials”
- Click OK.
- David Sandra and John Slaybaugh will reboot any affected computers in vacant offices.
“All Clear” Email
David Sandra will email an “all clear” once IT completes the work.
