Applies to: Russell Labs faculty, staff and students and Hub staff who store data of any kind on Russell1, the shared fileserver for F&WE, Plant Path, and Ento
Status of the commonly used mapped drives:
- Research Drive. Commonly mapped to \\research.drive.wisc.edu is up and running.
- Russell1. Commonly mapped to \\RUSSELL1\russell or \\russell.drive.wisc.edu\russell in the RL Hub is up and running.
- Labstorage. (Sometimes referred to as Research Drive). Is back up and running. With three key exceptions:
- Approximately 24 hours before Friday, May 24 any changes or additions to files were not incrementally backed up due to the drive failure.
- File paths that are longer than 256 characters have files available but are more technically complex to assign security to. We will work with DoIT to recover these files.
- Access for the Townsend Lab is still in progress; we are working with a contact from their lab.
Instructions on how to remap your Labstorage drive is available here.
