‘Study Registration’ and ‘Open to Accrual’ are now two different processes (find more information at: https://kb.wisc.edu/ictr/page.php?id=12965)

‘Study Registration’ – this step is necessary to register the study with UWHC/UWMF patient billing staff thereby notifying  them that the study will begin enrolling subjects.  ICTR OnCore users with a FIN, PC, or CRA role have the ability to click ‘Register Study’ (Protocols > PC Console > Status). This step is facilitated by the Office of Clinical Trials (OCT), thus only OCT staff can complete the Study Registration process.

‘Open to Accrual’ – this step is now separate from the Study Registration process, allowing our ICTR OnCore users to register their study with UWHC/UWMF well in advance of initiating enrollment/Open to Accrual (pending completion of Site Initiation Visit, receipt of study drug, etc.). ICTR OnCore users with a FIN, PC, or CRA role have the ability to change the status of the protocol to ‘Open to Accrual’ with a date on or after the Study Registration date.
