AEFIS version 3.30 includes several updates. These updates will go into effect on 4/16/2018.

  • Add external users to a "Student Course Evaluation": Previously, surveys had to be created as "External Group Surveys" in order for admins to add external participants. Now, external users may be individually added to a "Student Course Evaluation" type survey.
  • Tie students to specific instructors on a Student Course Evaluations: In large courses with multiple instructors, students may only interact with one or two instructors. Now, instructors and admins can indicate this in AEFIS, so that students do not have to fill out evaluations for instructors they don't know.
  • Warning message when assigning surveys: A few releases ago, AEFIS implemented a pop-up warning to alert admins when they tried to assign an evaluation to a course section that had already had an evaluation assigned to it. The warning message has now been updated for clarity.
  • New Assessment Process in AEFIS and Learning Management Systems (LMSs): AEFIS assessments have been redone to better integrate with campus LMSs. Users can link assignments from the LMS to AEFIS assessments or can create the assignments within AEFIS itself. A small pilot is occurring this spring with more details coming this summer.
