Office 365 (Apple Reminders 10.9) - Modify a reminder
This document contains instructions on using a non-Microsoft email client, such as Apple Mail or Thunderbird. Microsoft does not recommend these clients for use with Office 365, and there are often significant limitations in client functionality as a result. Because of this, the DoIT Help Desk is only able to offer best effort support for these clients, and certain issues may require the use of a Microsoft client in order to be resolved. For more information on Office 365 client support, please see: Office 365 - Which clients/protocols will be supported?.
Best Effort Support Only
This document explains how to modify a reminder in Apple Reminders for OS X 10.9.
Open Apple Reminders by opening the Applications folder on the dock and selecting Reminders.
From the left-hand column of the Reminders window, make sure that the account for which you would like to create a reminder is selected. "Completed" and "Today" are shown at the top, by default. Office 365 reminder lists show up as "Tasks".
Renaming a reminder
From the notepad in the right-hand column of the Reminders window, click on the text of the task you would like to modify. A text cursor will appear.
Rename the task however you like and hit enter or return on your keyboard. The task name is changed.
Modify other reminder details
To modify other task details, simply hover over the task until the information icon appears to the right. Click on the icon to open an info panel. Alternatively, right click on the task and select Show Info.
From the info panel, you may change the name of the task, set an alarm to remind you, set the priority of the task, and add any notes you would like. When you are finished, click Done to save your changes.
