HRS Access Guide - Approving Requests - Users

This document provides an overview of the HRS Access Guide - a series of KB documents providing guidance about HRS access for UW-Madison users, including requesting access, finding training, and fulfilling security requirements.

This document provides instructions for tasks the user must complete after an HRS access request is submitted.

Requests to add access require the user to accept an electronic compliance agreement confirming they will use their HRS access appropriately. The user must accept the agreement within 14 calendar days after receiving the email or the request will be automatically cancelled and a new request will need to be submitted.

The user must have completed the Level 2 Credentialing process (Digital ID Identity Proofing and identity verification with DoIT) to access the compliance agreement.

  1. User will receive an email from with subject Action Required: Compliance Agreement for Request [request number].

  2. Click the Click here to read and accept the agreement link to open the compliance agreement for the request.
    • If you get an error after trying to open the agreement link, make sure you have completed the Level 2 Credentialing process linked above.
  3. Read the agreement and click the Yes button at the bottom to agree to the HRS terms of usage. Download an example of the compliance agreement for future reference.
