A nation-wide toll-free advising service for all 26 institutions in the UW-System and UW-Extension. Advisors provide information and advising to high school students, counselors, parents, adult learners and transfer students on all aspects of higher education including admission, financial aid, majors and programs, housing and registration.

In addition to the Advising Service, HELP publishes a newsletter to school counselors three times each year, called 'The HELP Byline,' that provides up-to-date information on UW System student service policies and procedures for prospective students including campus tours and career days, MORE financial aid and admission application dates and procedures, precollege programs and more.

From President Ray Cross: The UW System offers an affordable, top-of-the-line education with some of the best teachers around. Our academic programs are tailor-made to satisfy nearly every goal and interest. We're glad you're trying us on for size. I encourage future students, parents, and school counselors to explore the campuses that interest you most, talk with campus tour guides, and really get a feel for what UW life is like. Browse this website, take a virtual tour, or call one of our friendly, knowledgeable UW HELP advisers.
