Silver Buckle Press is a working museum of letterpress printing dedicated to preserving the craft of fine printing through educational programming, publications, exhibitions and tours.

The Silver Buckle Press Collection is now part of The University of Wisconsin Digital Collections. This digital project provides the opportunity to share materials from the reference shelf; UWDC will continue to add items to the database. Most of the materials are specimen catalogs from American type foundries dating from the late 1800s and early twentieth century.

Tours are given by appointment only. Tours can be tailored to fit your group or class needs. You will see a hand type-setting demonstration, and a press being operated.

To order any of the printworks found on the site, please contact the Silver Buckle Press for availability by phone 608.263.4929 or email. They accept checks or money orders made out to Silver Buckle Press.
