Chimera is a nationwide self-defense program designed especially for women. Chimera classes teach physical and psychological self-defense skills useful to all women, regardless of age, size, strength or physical ability. Learn awareness, precautions, assertiveness and physical techniques. Chimera is dedicated to teaching women and girls they have the right and ability to protect themselves from violence.
Chimera teaches women and girls that they have the right and ability to protect themselves. All techniques are easy to learn and use, and are designed to help the defender stop the attack and escape.

Campus classes are taught each semester, including the summer session. Check the website for a listing of the class schedule.
Classes are held in McConnell hall (located across the street from the Meriter Hospital Main Entrance on 1010 Mound Street). Click here for parking available near McConnell Hall.
Pre-registration is required. We must receive your registration form and payment no later than one week before the first class date to guarantee your spot in the class. Basic Chimera is $120 per person or $75 for students.
