Lakeshore Nature Preserve (including Picnic Point): 4 AM – 10 PM daily
The Lakeshore Path (Howard M. Temin Memorial Path) runs for two miles along Lake Mendota on the northern edge of campus. Beginning near the Memorial Union and ending at Eagle Heights, the path is a popular destination for bicyclists, joggers and walkers.

Botanical Garden (University Avenue, south of Birge Hall)
Camp Randall Park (Randall Ave at Monroe St)
Class of 1918 Marsh (north-northwest of Nielsen Tennis Stadium)
John Muir Park and Knoll (between social sciences & College Library on Lakeshore path)
