The Faculty Diversity Program (FDL) was initiated by Pathways to Excellence in January 1999 to help develop community between L&S Academic Support programs and departments in the College of Letters and Science.

Pathways invite each L&S department to choose a representative to the Faculty Diversity Liaison program. The FDL department representative serves as an important resource in our efforts to increase retention and graduation rates of students of color.

Faculty Diversity Liaisons offer many services that enable students of color to connect and identify with their department along with services Pathways to Excellence provides.

The purpose of the program is to help students of color feel comfortable in seeking help regarding curricular or campus resources needed to enrich their college experience.
