United Council is the statewide student association for the University of Wisconsin System representing students from campuses across the entire state of Wisconsin. United council is a non profit, non partisan organization that lobbies, advocates, and organizes on higher education issues at the campus, state, and national level.

It represents the 125,000 students of the 21 UW campuses. Mandatory-refundable fees of $2.00 per student per semester support small full time staff which represents the students to the UW Central Administration, Board of Regents, and State Legislature.

"Our Mission: To represent all students of the UW System and advocate for them on issues of higher education pertaining to value, quality and the student experience."

To have $2.00 fee refunded, write them within 45 days of start of semester and include your name, proof of tuition payment, and address.
