Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Post-secondary Education (WISCAPE) programs promote interaction among three groups of people who do not typically relate to one another: post-secondary education leaders, researchers who study both educational leadership and issues, and policymakers, such as regents and legislators. These programs are designed to create a dialogue from which will emerge more effective leaders and policies that are aligned with the latest research and best practices.

WISCAPE is housed in the School of Education.

WISCAPE programs are held on the UW–Madison campus unless otherwise noted and are free and open to the public.

Within this context, WISCAPE programs address three principal challenges confronting postsecondary education today:

-Finding and implementing flexible leadership approaches that respond to the complex social, economic and political forces that impact postsecondary education institutions.
-Navigating the complex terrain of postsecondary education finance.
-Rethinking the traditional boundaries of PK-16 education to promote more innovative and collaborative structures.
