UW-Madison Zoom Workplace - How are you logged into Zoom client?

To access the UW-Madison Zoom features, you must be logged into your UW-Madison Zoom account.

This document describes how you can determine the account you are authenticated with within Zoom web/desktop client.

Web/Desktop Client

  1. Click on your name/avatar - located at the top right of your Zoom client.
  2. The screen should show the account you are logged in with:
    zoom licensed account name/address

Sign Out and Sign In using your UW-Madison Zoom account

Web Client

  1. Start a new incognito/In-Private browser window
  2. Go to https://uwmadison.zoom.us.
  3. Click on Sign in.
  4. You will be redirected to UW-Madison NetID login page, please enter your NetID and password credentials. Note: If you are signing into your service account, select the service account from the landing page instead of your NetID@wisc.edu account.

Desktop/Mobile Client

  1. Within Zoom desktop client, click on your name/avatar.
  2. Select Sign Out.
  3. Quit out of Zoom desktop client.
  4. Start Zoom desktop client.
  5. Click Sign in with SSO.
  6. If prompted to enter your zoom domain/tenant, enter uwmadison.
  7. You will be redirected to UW-Madison NetID login page, please enter your NetID and password credentials. Note: If you are signing into your service account, select the service account from the landing page instead of your NetID@wisc.edu account.
