Safer Badgers - Replacing the APK Android app with the Play Store version

This document describes how to replace the UW-Madison downloaded version of the Safer Badgers app with Google Play Store version.

Due to delays in the Google Play Store approval process, we made the Android version of Safer Badgers available to download from a UW-Madison secure Box folder. To get app updates and remain current, you must replace the Box download with the Google Play Store version. Follow these steps to uninstall the previous version and download the Google Play Store version.

Important: Before you begin

Save your COVID-19 Private Key as described in Safer Badgers - COVID-19 Private Key. If you don't take this step you will likely lose your testing history.
