Webex Events: Sharing Computer Audio via Virtual Cabling

This documentation will highlight the steps required to install virtual cabling for sharing computer audio in a Webex Event (which lacks a built-in setting for sharing computer audio).

Considerations Before Proceeding With the Below Steps

This section will highlight the caveats associated with this method of sharing computer audio. Please ensure that you read through this before proceeding with any of the below steps.
  • You will not be able to hear what is being said or speak when utilizing virtual cabling. It is suggest that you have a secondary computer sharing the content OR join via phone to hear what is being said and speaking to participants of the event
  • On Windows, VB-Audio can sometimes get automatically set to default audio if you've setup your default audio to devices other than the internal microphone and speakers. It is recommended that you set your default audio to the internal speakers and microphone of the system (assuming they exist)
  • If you're playing music, make sure to set your audio to Music Mode
