TES - Transfer Evaluation System

This document outlines TES (Transfer Evaluation System), who needs to use the software and how to access the software.

Overview

TES is an invaluable tool for researching post-secondary institutions and course information for determining the transferability of courses from a sending institution to UW–Madison. TES consists of a central database of data sets consisting of course details maintained by CollegeSource. These course details provide course-specific information including the course description, the number of units/credits, prerequisites, co-requisites, minimum grade requirements, lecture hours, lab hours, the department offering the course, and the version history of the course. Course Descriptions can be included in Evaluation Tasks and then routed with optional syllabus attachments to assigned department evaluators for their review and approval. This process is tracked within the TES database, eliminating the need for a paper or an e-mail trail.

Who Needs Access?
