The Career Resource Center, maintained by the Adult and Student Services Center, aids adults in a self-directed exploration of career and educational opportunities. Materials are organized to reflect three components of career planning: self-assessment, educational and career research, and the job search. Worksheets, brochures, articles and bibliographies are available free to adult students using the center. In addition, the resource center has applications and information on a variety of grants and scholarships for returning adult students.
The CRC works with nontraditional and University Special Students, as well as local adults considering a career change.
Adult Career and Special Student Services (ACSSS) is your gateway to the vast resources of UW-Madison. We serve more than 10,000 people each year, offering comprehensive assistance for returning adult degree students, career assessment, help with career transitions, and outreach to employers. We are also the admissions, advising, and academic dean’s office for 4,500 University Special students. Individual appointments and workshops on campus, drop-in sessions off-campus, and public programs allow us to reach you and meet your individual needs.
