Division of Continuing Studies coordinates the following to assist Adults, Professionals, and University Special Students (visiting students, high school students, post-baccalaureate students, Capstone Certificate students, senior guest auditors) interested in or currently taking classes in the UW System or at UW-Madison:

Summer Sessions
Offers more than 1,000 courses to choose from throughout the summer.
The following website includes information about events on special summer programs such as the Summer Forums as well as Online Classes offered during the summer.
Career counseling for community adults via appointments or workshops.
Non-credit courses and certificates ranging from human services to leadership.
Offers students of all ages opportunities for professional development and personal enrichment, as well as enrollment in UW credit courses as a Special Student.

Personal Interest Courses
Non-credit courses cover a wide range of interests, from arts to languages to writing to music to travel, etc.

Senior Learning for Retirees
Coordinates PLATO (Participatory Learning and Teaching Organization) for older adults.

Senior Guest Auditors
Wisconsin residents age 60+ by the first day of class are eligible to audit lecture courses with instructor approval on a space available basis tuition-free. Some exceptions do apply.  https://continuingstudies.wisc.edu/advising/audit60.htm

Scholarships for Nontraditional UW Madison Students
