PICADA's mission is to develop, promote, and strengthen individual, family, and community wellness and productivity by reducing factors that contribute to high-risk behaviors including but not limited to alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse.
Works toward preventing chemical abuse by offering unbiased, factual information about alcohol and other drug abuse. Provides screening for an in-depth look at alcohol and other drug abuse, as well as other life problems. Refers UW students to counseling and consultation services for alcohol and other drug assessment and treatment. Conducts educational programs and assists Dane County communities in developing community-wide alcohol and other drug abuse prevention programs. Has a reference library and educational videos for public use. Volunteers are always welcome.
