WiscWeb - Gravity Forms Restricted Data Notification

Data considered sensitive or restricted should not be collected in WiscWeb using the Gravity Forms plugin. Users of this plugin are now required to acknowledge and agree to this policy before being able to continue using it. This message will return every 90 days. The following document will walk you through how this works in WiscWeb.

In this document:

What does this mean?

WiscWeb is not a platform that can collect and store sensitive and restricted data (these terms are defined in campus policy UW-504). One of the primary ways that we see users store this type of data is by prompting for it in their Gravity Forms forms. This modal window notifies WiscWeb administrators using Gravity Forms that this type of data should not be requested via a form submission. This helps ensure our users comply with our policy: WiscWeb - Sensitive, Restricted, and Internal Data Policy.

What will you see?

A modal window will appear to each user who clicks on the Forms menu option on the left:
WiscWeb Sensitive Data Modal Window

To proceed, read through the information, click the check box, and then click the button for I Agree & Submit.

How often will you see this?

The WiscWeb policy will require users to agree to this policy every 90 days when using Gravity Forms. Users should not see this window again until their 90-day timer expires. If you feel you are seeing this message in error, please contact the WiscWeb team at help@doit.wisc.edu.
