Provides assessments, psychological testing and psychotherapy to adults, couples, families and children. Offer group and individual treatment. Serve the general public; clients do not have to be affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison to receive services at the clinic. Also provide psychological evaluations, assessment of learning disorders and IQ (intelligence) testing. Examples of the kind of problems treated at the clinic include depression, anxiety/fears, stress, relationship problems, low self-esteem, eating disorders, learning problems, marital/family difficulties and childhood/adolescent issues.
They do not accept private insurance or Medicare / Medicaid. Initial intake fee is $30. Average cost is $60, but the session fees are on a sliding scale determined by the client's income and dependents; by appointment only.
Advanced doctoral students in clinical psychology provide services. Therapists are supervised by licensed psychologists. Each student therapist receives one hour of supervision for every hour they spend in therapy with a client.
