Law School Recommendations for PC Purchases

Law School IT recommended vendors and Personal Computer specs.

The information below is provided to the Law School community to help members make decisions when purchasing computers for use outside of the Law School. The outlined specifications are what the IT department purchases for the workstations in the building. While these specifications are our minimum spec, they aren't necessarily required for computers purchased for other uses. Each person must evaluate their needs to ensure they purchase the correct computer for their use. Some applications may benefit from increased capabilities; in most cases, the application vendor has outlined their minimum / recommended specifications.

Our computers are purchased with affordability, longevity, and ease of use in mind.

If members of the UW Law community have questions, please feel free to email help@law.wisc.edu.
