CUB's Mission is to:
  • Provide public interest legal services to ensure effective and democratic representation of residential and small business utility customers before regulatory agencies, the legislature, and the courts;
  • Advocate for reliable, affordable and sound utility service; and
  • Educate consumers on matters relating to utility regulation and energy policy.
Voluntary, non-profit membership organization. Serves as a watchdog on utility issues. Represents the ratepayer point of view when gas, electric, and telephone rates are set. Also lobbies, provides consumer education and intervenes with legislature.

The Citizens Utility Board fights for reliable and affordable electricity and telephone service on behalf of Wisconsin customers before regulatory agencies, the legislature, and the courts.
