Student accessibility and usability barriers

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist within Transferology.

Some keyboard navigation barriers may be difficult for people with vision or motor disabilities

When using keyboard navigation, the focus indicator is almost always invisible or has very low color contrast, making it difficult for the user to see where they are on the page.

Magnification and interface barriers may be difficult for people with low vision

When magnifying the page, the different bars around the page do not move, making the viewfinder very small to see limited information. Also, certain elements on the page go missing when magnifying the page.

Some screen reader barriers may be difficult for people with vision disabilities

Some of the screen reader link content is not consistent with what is on the page, ignoring certain images and information without alt text. There are also missing heading levels throughout the webpage.

Color contrast barriers may be difficult for people with color blindness

Along with the focus indicator having low color contrast, the navigation bar also does not meet color contrast standards. Different buttons and elements on different pages of the website have low color contrast.
