Semester at Sea is designed to incorporate a global semester in your undergraduate experience. Starting with the Summer 2006 voyage, the University of Virginia becomes the academic sponsor of the Semester at Sea program. As the academic sponsor of the program, the University of Virginia grants academic credit for participation in Semester at Sea courses.

Primary focus- Undergraduate study abroad Program, which is available to students seeking their first bachelor degree at any accredited college or university.

Continuing Education program invites non-student and senior travelers who are interested in the Semester at Sea adventure.

Summer Law at Sea program is available to students enrolled in Law School who wish to incorporate an international experience in their study of law.

Summer Teachers at Sea program is available for certified K-12 teachers who wish to acquire continuing professional education credits while being a part of the Semester at Sea adventure. Those enrolled will earn six graduate credits through the University of Nevada Reno.

--K-12 teachers are also invited to participate in the Semester at Sea Vicarious Voyage program as part of their efforts to each students about the world in which we live.

Students currently enrolled in High School are encouraged to plan for study abroad while they are choosing their college or university.
