WiscWeb - Email Changed Message

Users may periodically see a message that indicates that the email address on file in WiscWeb has been changed. This document will describe this email, what it means, and what to do if you see it.

In this document:

Overview

You will receive an automatic notification from WordPress if the email on file has been changed. There are a few reasons this could happen:

  • You updated your email address directly in WiscWeb
  • The email address that was assigned to your account when your role was created was not your preferred email address (as designated in the campus directory)
  • You changed your name and therefore your email address changed

Please note that this notification is nothing to be alarmed about and does not pose any risk to your access in WiscWeb.
