The Panhellenic Association (PHA) is the governing body for all Panhellenic Association women's fraternities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. PHA is responsible for organizing activities of mutual concern and interest to the fourteen Panhellenic sororities on campus. Sorority women are involved in all facets of student life. As students, the Greek Community strives to support its members through scholarship awards, professor recognition, academic programming, community service, and friendship. Additionally, Greek members take active roles in the Greek community and throughout the University. PHA organizes fall recruitment, held over the first weekends of the fall semester, during which a mutual selection process introduces potential new members to the sorority community. For over 150 years, the Greek Community at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has connected students through the ideals of leadership, scholarship, citizenship, and fellowship.
**The Panhellenic Association is different from the National Pan Hellenic Council.
