Trim and care for city's trees. Trees maintained by the city are those between the sidewalk and curb or in the city street right of way. Trees in city parks, golf courses, cemeteries and other city-owned property are also maintained and cared for.
Will send out inspectors free of charge to investigate street tree problems and make recommendations. City will remove and replace dead or dying trees free of charge. Will send out inspection crew to check for Dutch Elm Disease or Oak Wilt and take samples for diagnosis for city and privately-owned trees as appropriate. Will only remove diseased elms or oaks on city-owned property or when in the right of way. Owner is responsible for removal of trees on their property.
