WebCheckout - How to Make and Manage Reservations

This document provides step-by-step instructions to make, edit, and cancel a reservation from a patron's perspective.

Make a Reservation

  1. Go to uwmadison.webcheckout.net/patron and sign in using your UW Madison Net ID and Password
  2. Select the checkout center you would like to make a reservation from
    • NOTE: Not all checkout centers allow reservations. 
  3. Read & Close the message of the day
  4. Select the category of equipment you want to reserve
  5. Select the type of equipment you want to reserve
  6. Add a specific resource to your cart
    • NOTE: To see the availability of all items in a resource type, select the timeline scheduler
  7. You are welcome to add several different resources to a reservation, but you cannot add more than one of the same resource type
  8. Go to the cart
  9. Click create reservation
  10. Set the pick up and return times for your reservation
  11. Check for and resolve any errors
  12. Click Submit Reservation
  13. Done

Edit/Cancel a Reservation

  1. In the checkout center your reservation is at, go to the menu in the top left corner
  2. Click on “My Account”
  3. Click on the reservation
  4. Click Edit this Reservation, or Cancel this Reservation
    • To Cancel the Reservation, after clicking, Cancel This Reservation, click to confirm the cancellation
  5. Make any necessary changes
  6. Click Update Reservation
  7. Done
