This document outlines how to add the honors designation to a section.
How to Add Honors designations to appropriate section
You can identify the type of honors sections (if any) for a particular section/association number. A class association can only be changed in the Term Update Switch is ‘On’ and the class has zero enrollment. These values term roll; therefore, be sure to verify.
From Home, select: Curric & Enroll Rep WorkCenter, Adjust Class Associations. The Find page displays.
Tip: Menu navigation: > Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Adjust Class Associations
Use the Find page to locate the desired course. The Adjust Class Associations page will display.
Note: Associations of ‘9999’ do not display.
Select |Class Components| page tab.
Change Requirement Designation (honors) as needed. Based on the selection, one of the follow values will appear: Blank, HIA, HON, HOP.
Continue changing honors for all needed sections.
Requirements Designation Box
Honors sections are defined using the Requirement Designation.
HIA - Honores Only Courses: Reserved for students in a formal Honors Program. The enrollment system will automatically assign Honors.
HON - Accelerated Honors: Course is open to both honors and non-honors students. Recommended for students planning an Honors Program. The enrollment system will automatically assign honors.
HOP - Honors Optional: Course is open to both honors and non-honors students. Asks students during enrollment if they want an optional honors component (Yes or No). Student must consult the instructor regarding expectations for earning Honors credit in the course.
