This document outlines what the term roll process does and does not do.
Term Roll copies all active (not canceled) classes from prior “like term.”
Fall to Fall, Spring to Spring, Summer to Summer
Copies to/from same session (e.g. A1 to A1)
Greatly simplifies schedule build. Most of what you do is review/edit/update.
Does require you to update things that have changed and/or rebuild as needed
Doesn’t require you to start from scratch
Does not copy forward instructors (except IND), class notes, requested room characteristics, canceled sections
Essential to verify everything! Honors, units (credits), etc.
