NetSupport School - Web and Application Restrictions
How to enable web and application restrictions on computers using NetSupport School.
Web Restrictions
- With NetSupport School open and all the computers connected Select the Group (1) of computers you want to apply restrictions to.
The all computers group is selected by default.
Note: If you select one computer then restrictions will only be applied to that computer.
- Select the Web Site Access Control category (2).
- At the bottom of the screen review the list of Approved Websites.
- If the list meats your needs Click on Approved Only (4).
- To Select the previously prepared Access List go to the menu at the top and select "Web" (5).
- An then select "Load Existing Website List..." (6) and select the appropriate list that appears.
Example: Learn UW.web is set up for Learn@UW exams
If none of the Lists work for you must Cancel and create a new list.
Application Restrictions
- With NetSupport School open and all the computers connected Select the Group (1) of computers you want to distribute to.
The all computers group is selected by default.

- Go to the Application Control category (2).
- At the bottom of the screen review the list of Approved Applications.
- If the list meats your needs Click on Approved Only (4)
- To Select the previously prepared Access List go to the menu at the top and select "Web" (5).
- An then select "Load Existing Application List..." (6) and select the appropriate list that appears.
Example: Learn UW.app is set up for Learn@UW exams
If none of the Lists work for you must Cancel and create a new list.
