IPv6 feature Support in UW-Madison Campus network equipment

A list of the current state of ipv6 feature support among the equipment used in the UW-Madison campus network. The primary interest is management of the platforms via v6 and the ability to use the same features on v6 today as we use on v4.

Cisco 3750

Code version: 12.2(52)SE ipbase - k9
Test switch: s-cssc-b217-18-lab.net.wisc.edu
FeatureStatusNotes
v6 on SVIPASSCan configure v6 on SVI
SyslogPASSCan send syslogs to an ipv6 server
DNSPASSCan be configured to use dns over ipv6
TelnetPASSCan be reached via telnet over ipv6
SSHPASSCan be reached via ssh over ipv6
SNMPCautionSNMP reachable, but beware of a strange ACL issue:
You need to permit both traffic to the host as well as the return traffic in the ACL
ACLCautionThe switch MUST be in sdm prefer dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 mode.
Also, there may be limitations as to how many bits can be matched
RadiusFAILswitch CLI doesn't support v6 addr for radius
NTPFAILswitch CLI doesn't support v6 addr for ntp
Static RoutePASSConfigured with v6 static route
RIPnguntestedcan the box announce v6 routes via rip?
OSPFv3untestedcan the box announce v6 routes via ospf?
This is only relevant if the box get's ospf stub support in ipbase, like 4500E
VRF liteuntestedvrf lite support for v6
MLDv1 snoopinguntestedprune mcast traffic by snooping MLDv1
MLDv2 snoopinguntestedprune mcast traffic by snooping MLDv2
