Data Documentation for Plasma Lilly MSD Dataset (Lund)

This record contains the README and data dictionary for the plasma pTau217 data obtained from the laboratory of Oskar Hansson.

Freeze

This documentation pertains to the May 2024 Freeze of the plasma Lilly MSD pTau217 - Lund dataset.

Origin

These plasma assays come from the laboratory of Oskar Hansson.

Sample Selection

Samples were included from observations at which at least one aliquot of EDTA plasma was available for participants who had also had at least one amyloid PET scan. All available observations were included for each participant.

For detailed information, refer to the WRAP and/or ADRC pre-analytic protocols for CSF and plasma collection, available on the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Program KnowledgeBase.

Sample and Participant Characteristics

This dataset includes 521 observations on 170 participants (0 ADRC; 170 WRAP; 110 female; 5 URG; 2 MCI and 1 Dementia at first visit; 2 MCI and 1 Dementia at last visit; 0 participant(s) are aged 90+, of those not: mean first and last ages of 62.8 and 67.9, respectively; mean first and last days since baseline of 2856 and 4739, respectively). Per data sharing agreements with the Oneida nation, data from Native American participants are not included in this dataset.

Analytes

Phosphorylated tau 217 (pTau217) [Lilly immunoassay on a Meso Scale Dynamics platform].

Detection Limits

The lower detection limit of the pTau217 assay ranged from 0.11-0.17 pg/mL. Six cases fell below this value; these are marked in the field Flag_Ptau217_Lilly with values of 1.
