Windows Enterprise Upgrade Qualifying Operating Systems

These are the operating systems from which a UW-owned computer can be legally upgraded to the current version of Windows Enterprise licensed under our Microsoft Enrollment For Education Solution.

  Windows10-QOS.pdf (see the Academic and Charity column). The list mentions Windows 10 but is the same for Windows 11.

Virtualization/Emulation/Dual Boot scenarios for UW-owned computers: Computers that have active Software Assurance coverage [which the UW-Madison has under our Microsoft Enrollment For Education Solution] do not need to uninstall the qualifying OS and may install and run the qualifying OS and the Enterprise edition of Windows at the same time.
