My UW System Portal - Eligibility

This document details who is eligible to access the My UW System portal.

This document is about the My UW System Portal which is available to employees from participating universities and colleges throughout the University of Wisconsin System. It should not be confused with My UW-Madison, which is a similar portal available only for UW-Madison students, faculty, and staff.

All faculty, staff and student employees with active appointments should be able to access My UW System. You must have a VALID and ACTIVE username (e.g., NetID, ePanther, login name) with your local campus. These accounts are issued by your local campus and are typically used to access campus online resources. Your campus Employee ID (aka HR ID) must be accurate and available in the UW System Directory.

UW System faculty, staff and students employees that have terminated employment may have access to My UW System, depending on their local campus policy. This continued access provides the employee with access to their earning (prior to 2019),  tax (prior to 2018 tax year) and benefit statements. However, access to 2019 earning statements and leave statements in HRS expires on the employees last day worked.
