WiscWeb CMS - Creating and connecting a subpage in SmartTree

Pages within WiscWeb CMS can be ordered hierarchically. When creating a new page, that page can be created as a subpage of an existing page. This document explains how to create and connect a subpage within SmartTree.

  1. In SmartTree, go to Browse Navigation > Project.

    Project link

  2. Click Navigation Structure in the Action Menu.

    Navigation Structure link

A new window appears, showing your site's navigation structure:

  3. To add a child page to a parent, right-click on the parent page and choose Create Page.

    select Create Page after right-clicking

A new window appears, showing you the available types of pages to choose from to create your subpage.

  4. Select Blank Web Page, enter a value for the page's title, and click OK.

    enter Headline

The page for the navigation structure appears again, with the new page appearing in the hierarchy.

  5. Click Close to return to SmartTree.

Now that you have created a page, you are able to access it either through SmartEdit or through SmartTree's Tree View (browse to Administer Project Structure).
