Drupal NetID Authentication

This document describes NetID authentication for Drupal and appropriate support paths.

Drupal NetID authentication can be achieved in two ways.

The current preferred method is via Shibboleth. The contributed module, Shib Auth, can be used to integrate with the Shibboleth service (more info on configuring shibboleth).

Configuring: Use "/Shibboleth.sso" for the Shibboleth Handler, and "/Logout" for the Logout/WAYF location. Enable "debug mode" to find the correct variables for username and e-mail.

Add the following to your .htaccess file:

AuthType Shibboleth
ShibRequireSession Off
ShibUseHeaders On
require shibboleth

Remember: your server must be properly configured for the module to work.

Problems with logging into sites using this module should be reported to the site's owner using available "Contact" links.
