How to submit an application for a parking permit

This document explains how to complete an application for a base lot, Flex, park and ride, remote lot, accessible, or business alternate parking permit.
  1. Go to the Permit Application System (PAS) and log in with a valid NetID or UW Health login credentials.

  2. Search for a permit type, lot number, or location name in the search bar to find the permit type(s) you want to apply for (e.g. type “flex” to see only Flex permits). You can also scroll through the list of permit options. If needed, the list window can be made larger by clicking and dragging from its bottom right corner.

Note: If you have applied for parking before, your permit choices may have automatically populated with past selections. You can make changes to this list.

  3. Check the boxes of the the permits you want to apply for. You may list up to four selections.

Note: Applications for UW Accessible (UW Campus Accessible) can only make one selection.

    • Click the X icon to remove a selection.

  8. If the submission was successful, a confirmation page with next steps and important information will appear.

Note: If there is a mistake on the application, simply cancel the application by clicking Cancel Application(s) and re-apply.

After finalizing your application, you will receive an email at the email address on file with Transportation Services in the eBusiness parking portal confirming that your application has been received. Please note that this emailed confirmation message is not an offer for a parking permit. Applications are processed approximately every two weeks, and many applications are placed on a waiting list until space becomes available. Applying for parking does not necessarily guarantee that you will receive an offer for a parking permit.
