WiscWeb CMS - Inserting Images That Have Already Been Uploaded

Once images have been uploaded to the CMS, they do not need to be re-uploaded for further use. This document describes how to incorporate uploaded images into a block.

  1. While editing a block with the text editor, click on the Insert/Edit Image button in the top menu bar.

    insert image icon
  2. Click the Asset tab, and then click Select. In the popup, click Select Asset to choose a file from among the CMS’s folders.

  3. In the window that appears, choose which folder of the CMS you want to choose an image from (usually Images), and click OK.

A new window appears that shows all of the available images in that folder.

  4. Choose the image that you would like to insert by clicking its filename. You can also preview an image by clicking its thumbnail. Once an image is selected, click OK in the lower-right corner.

  5. Click in the alternative text box, and type a description of the image. You may also wish to have the image aligned to the left or right. Doing so will cause the text to wrap around the image.

  6. When you are finished, press OK.

The image should now be visible in the text editor.
