D2L - Clicking audio file produces blank content window (UW-Madison)
UW-Madison is adopting Canvas as the single, centrally supported learning management system, and discontinuing support for Desire2Learn (D2L) and Moodle. Access to D2L and Moodle will permanently end June 1, 2018. For information about retaining materials from D2L or Moodle, please refer to this document.
If an audio file is not appearing properly within the Content tool, the user can attempt to open the content in a new window or with a different browser.
1. Open Content in New Window
D2L allows any content item, including audio files, to be opened in a new browser window. Here's how:
- Click the content item
- Click the button
2. Ensure that required plugins are enabled
Some browsers may require the activation of a plugin (eg: QuickTime).
3. Open Content in New Browser
Because of the variety of browser configurations, it often is quickest to try to access the content using a different browser. See Learn@UW - Recommended Software and Browsers .
