WiscIT - Creating Service Requests on Behalf of Another Person

In WiscIT powered by Ivanti Neurons, service requests submitted either via the Self-service Portal or the Service Catalog are for the currently logged in user. This document details how to use WiscITto create a service request on behalf of another person.
  1. Use WiscIT - Using Contact Records to Create Incidents and Service Requests to create a contact for the record with the Service and Classification for the desired service request. Once the parent service request is created, it should automatically have the customer from the contact record and the parameters tab should show the webform for the specific request offering (service request template).

  2. After creating a parent service request from the contact record, use the Parameters tab to fill out the details of the service request. The specific fields will vary based on which service request was selected. NOTE: Do not save until the parameters tab has been completed.

  3. Once the parameters tab has been completed, save the record. This will:

    1. Set the status to "Submitted"

    2. The Team will already be the Service's Team.

    3. If a service request has any resulting workflow, it will trigger at this time.
