Learn@UW - Using 'Paste as Plain Text' within HTML Editor
The 'Paste as Plain Text' control within the HTML Editor allows you to paste in selected text without any formatting attributes.
To paste in text without any formatting attributes, proceed as follows:
Select the text from the source.
Place the cursor where you want to insert the text.
Select "Paste as Plain Text" (by the clipboard with the T logo on it) from the second to the last drop-down.
Type Ctrl+V (on a Windows PC) or Command+V (on a Macintosh).
The last step is required to complete the operation.
The actual formatting of the inserted text will match that of the text immediately preceding the cursor.
