BN - Checking Benefit, Payroll, and Timecard Information Through My UW System Portal (UW-Madison Only)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

University of Wisconsin - Madison employees will have the ability to view their benefits summary and dependent demographic/enrollment information on their respective campus portal page. This guide walks you through that process.

PROCESS CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Before using this guide, have your Campus Login ID and Password ready.
  • You will be able to view your benefit information the day after making your elections using self-service by accessing the campus portal page.



Upon logging into your campus portal page, you will see the main Welcome page. General information will be located here, and these views can be customized by the user. (Note* you may not see all the same dashboards as pictured.)

BENEFIT INFORMATION:

To view benefits information, click Launch Full App under BENEFIT INFORMATION.  The page will contain information such as your WRS Annual Statements, Summary of Benefits, and Dependent Information. To view the Benefits Summary Detail and Update TSA Deductions information, scroll down to near the bottom of the page. Employees are encouraged to check all of this information to confirm that it's correct. If there are any discrepancies, contact your campus Benefit Administrator right away.

To view greater detail on your benefits selections, click the View Benefits Summary Detail button to open up the HRS system and log in. Upon logging in, you will be able to view links to your benefit plans, the plan description, and the coverage or participation level you have selected for that benefit option. To return the portal page, close the browser window that opened for HRS.

To check your dependent information, click the Dependents tab. Your dependents are listed, as well as their relationship to you. To view more information about your dependents, you can click the View Dependent Details. This will launch HRS again, and provide you with a list of your dependents' information. To return to the portal page, close the browser window that opened for HRS.

To return to the main Welcome page, press the MyUW back arrow button.

PAYROLL INFORMATION

At the main welcome page, to view payroll information, click See all payroll information under PAYROLL INFORMATION. The page will contain information such as your Earning Statements and Tax Statements. To view the W-2 Explanation, 1042-S Explanation, 1095-C Explanation, and ACA Information, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the appropriate button. You can also update your W-4 or Direct Deposit information by clicking on Update Your W-4 and/or Update Your Direct Deposit.  You are encouraged to check all information to confirm that it's correct. If there are any discrepancies, contact your campus Payroll Department.

TIME AND ABSENCE INFORMATION

At the main welcome page, to view Time and Absence information, click Launch Full Appunder TIME AND ABSENCE. The page will contain information such as your Absence Request, Leave Balances, and Leave Reports. If you are a monthly employee, to view the Unclassified Leave Report and Unclassified Summer Session/Service Leave Report, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the appropriate button. You can also Enter Absence requests using this page.   You are encouraged to check that all information is correct. If there are any discrepancies, contact your campus Time and Labor Department.  Click the MyUW back arrow to return to the main Welcome page.
