Voice Mail (Centrex) - Security Code Requirements
This document lists the requirements for creating a new voice mail security code for Centrex users.
To reset your voice mail security code, see Voice Mail - Security Code Reset
It is also recommended that voice mail security codes:
- are kept private.
- are changed twice per year to something new and different than earlier security codes.
Other voice mail security features:
- A temporary security code is assigned when a voice mailbox is established. Mailbox owners are forced to change the temporary security code when they first access their mailbox.
- DoIT system administrators do not have the ability to view subscriber security codes.
