Voice Mail (Centrex) - New Users Can't Retrieve Messages or Voice Mail is Not Picking Up the Incoming Calls

This document helps voice mail users with new voice mail accounts who can't retrieve their messages or whose calls are not transferring to voice mail.

After completing the ordering process, you should have received an email with your temporary security code. You will need to call into the voice mail system and walk through the tutorial to set up your name and greeting. Once that has been completed, your voice mail is activated and calls should forward to voice mail when the phone is not answered or the line is busy.

If you have completed the above steps and are not able to retrieve your voice mail or calls are not forwarding to voice mail, send an e-mail to voice.services@doit.wisc.edu. Please include a description of the problem, your name, and your voice mailbox number in the email.
