Voice Mail - Recording Your Personal Greeting from Your Phone

Your personal greeting is the message callers hear before they are offered the opportunity to leave a message.

Note: You may want to write your greeting down on paper before recording it.

The following is an example of a typical personal greeting:

"You have reached the voice mailbox for <name> . I am not available to take your call. Please leave your name, number, and a message after the tone. I will return your call as soon as possible."
There are two ways to record your greetings:

To record your personal greeting:

  1. At the main menu, press 4 for PhoneManager.
  2. For Personal Options, press 1.
  3. To record a personal greeting, press 3.
  4. To record a standard greeting for all other conditions, press 2. The current greeting is played.
  5. To begin recording, press 2 and speak your greeting. Then press 2 to stop recording.
  6. Optionally, do the following:
    Press ... If you want to ...
    4 Delete your greeting and start over
    * Cancel and exit without saving or recording
  7. To save the recording, press 5.

To use the rapid recording commands:

  1. Log on if necessary.
  2. At the main menu, press 4 for PhoneManager.
  3. Press 4 to record your personal greeting.
