ResNet Registration of Routers
This document describes the process of registering a router with Resnet.
To begin the registration process plug the router into the wall outlet and turn it on. Then connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable. When the ResNet page appears in your web browser select the first option.
This will bring up a new page to register the console. Enter the MAC address of the router, along with your NetID and password.
If you don't know the MAC address of your router click on the "Click here" link in point 5 to locate it.
If you click "Click here" to find your MAC address, the page should load with the MAC address and IP Address of the router:
After you register your router with ResNet you may still need to register any devices you plug into the router.
Depending on how your router is set up, you may need to register only the router, or you may need to register the router and all devices that connect to it.
NOTE: If you cannot pull up the registration page when connected to ResNet through your router you will need to troubleshoot your device.
The Help Desk can only provide best-effort support to help people configure their routers to function with ResNet. For further troubleshooting assistance users are advised to contact their router manufacturer.
